Boulder Jewish Commons

Boulder, Colorado

The master plan and design guidelines for this 31-acre site in Boulder facilitate a campus for Jewish Community Life. Including synagogues, an educational and cultural center, recreation facilities and housing for Jewish elders, the campus will be a meaningful contribution to the cultural fabric of Boulder – and a physical manifestation of the Jewish value of tikkun olam, repair of the world.

Barrett Studio developed an in-depth inventory of the Jewish Community’s needs that formed a building program for the campus and ultimately for the Jewish Community Center. As architects for the Jewish Community Center, RB+B Architects used our established Patterns, Standards and Guidelines as a framework to establish a visual design language in a palette of materials and articulation of forms.
