This recycled North Boulder home is a testament to design by distillation with stringent zoning parameters that limit the allowable height on this sloping site. The solution to the desire for a “big farmhouse feel” was to create one open great space for living. The rhythmic exposed wood trusses add a sense of the rural barn, filled with modern in town living patterns. Free of the division of spaces in smaller cells, the new light-filled space lives large on a tight site. Construction is complete, and landscape is in process.
